Becoming a better and a happier Morning person.

Becoming a better and a happier Morning person.

Becoming a better and a happier Morning person.

If you are anything like me, you hate having to wake up on early mornings, but I realize the older I get, the more I need to become a Morning person. It couldn’t be that bad, right? So here are some tips, tricks, and technology to becoming a Morning person and waking up in a better mood.
Prepare for the day the night before.
The main goal is to have your mornings so relaxed and less stressful as possible. So it’s best to pick out clothes, pack lunch, prepare school bag or work bag, and take showers the night before. If you prefer Morning showers great, because it helps you wake up, but the main goal is to try to do whatever you have to do in the Morning to do at night. You will feel great in the Morning knowing that you did most of your routine the night before.
Get a great night’s sleep.
When trying to get a great night’s sleep it is better to lay in bed early without the distraction of TV screens, phone screens, and
computer screens. The earlier you’re in bed, the earlier you will be able to get out of bed.
Let the sunlight wake you up.
I always feel better when the first time I wake up I see the sun shining so bright, making me feel like the day will be a great day. Not only will the sun wake you up, but it will also keep you awake because our bodies crave the sun. If your room doesn’t give off natural light try this neat little gadget that will trigger your brain to wake up, by tricking it into thinking it is real sunlight. (Check it out!)
Drink water as soon as you wake up.
Water hydrates our bodies. Without water our bodies tend to feel weak and tired. So it makes perfect sense that as soon as you wake up you drink either an ice-cold glass of water or heat water with a slice of lemon. Not only will your body feel refreshed and more awake, it will also speed up your metabolism.
Eat a healthy breakfast.
It’s important to fuel your body with the proper nutrients. Breakfast is also the most important meal of the day, it helps your brain function and gives you energy to go about your day.
No more snoozing.
Early Mornings I hit the snooze at least ten times, because I have to set at least ten alarms just for it to wake me up. The best tip for this is to move your alarm clock or the one on your phone across the room, so that you have to get out of bed to turn it off. It can definitely get a little irritating, but it works for me. There are also cool apps that give you peaceful music or sounds to wake up you up more relaxed.
Aromatherapy.
There are plenty of scents known to wake you and to help you feel more relaxed. These scents will help brighten your Morning and get your day ready in a better mood. You can also get a diffuser that will give you a great aroma and make you feel more awake. Or if you love coffee, you could try an auto coffee maker that starts at the time you like.
Take personal time.
Whatever you have time to do, whether it is going for a run, watching your favorite show, planning your goals for the day, making up your bed, or reading, do it. Doing this will have you in a better mood than immediately starting your day without any “Me” time.
Repeat.
In order to become a Morning person, you must have the routine of waking up early. Eventually or hopefully your body will just wake up by itself early and you will feel so much better.
I admit it’s hard waking up early, but I hope these tips and tricks help you as they did for me. Being a morning person will have you more motivated and ready for anything life throws at you. You will fall in love with Mornings!
